FC Barcelona and Spotify announced that American star Olivia Rodrigo will feature on Barcelona’s jersey in the upcoming Clásico against Real Madrid on May 10 at Spotify Camp Nou, as part of the initiative that replaces Spotify’s chest logo with the logo of a global artist.

According to Spotify, Rodrigo becomes the eighth and youngest artist to take part in the initiative, following names such as Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Coldplay, Karol G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA, and Drake.

• Barcelona said Rodrigo, a multiple Grammy-winning artist, has more than 50 million monthly listeners on Spotify and 9 songs in the platform’s Billions Club.

• Rodrigo’s logo will appear first on Barcelona’s women’s team jersey in the Liga F match against Levante on May 6, then on the men’s team jersey in the Clásico against Real Madrid on May 10.

• The move comes 4 years after the start of Barcelona’s partnership with Spotify, which has turned the club’s shirt in major matches into a promotional space connecting football with music and pop culture.
